Douglas Laing
SCOTLAND – Since 1948
For many Whisky lovers today Douglas Laing is known for their recent releases of funky Regional Malts such as Big Peat (Islay), Rock Oyster (Islands), Scallywag (Speyside), Epicurean (Lowlands) and Timorous Beastie (Highlands).
Douglas Laing are among the most established Scottish bottlers, having operated for 7 decades with over 3000 different releases. During that period, the family run enterprise has established labels for their Single Casks such as Provenance, Old Particular (their flagship range), Director’s cut, or the more recent exclusive XOP range. Such diversity illustrates the broad portfolio of barrels Douglas Laing has access to and the exceptional releases they can put forward.
Brothers Fred and Stewart Laing ran the company until 2013 before Stewart decided to split and start his own venture Hunter Laing. In 2017 Douglas Laing announced to build their own distillery at Pacific Quay in Glasgow, including a whisky archive, visitor centre and new company HQ.
