Bernard Lloyd is a whisky enthousiast who has dedicated his past 5 years researching the Tasmanian whisky-scene from A-Z. This is the first comprehensive book to tell the story of Tasmanian Whisk(e)y from its origins to its hiatus, its resurrection in the early 1990s, up to the present day resurgence of craft distilling in Tasmania.
There has been a lot of buzz surrounding this publication, in particular given that the story of Tassie Whisky hasn’t always been an easy road. Bernard doesn’t shy away from controversy and tells it ‘as it is’. Apparently, some in the scene didn’t take lightly to his open account of the good, the bad and the ugly.
